Our Story

Over the last decade, we have explored and researched in depth the impact of personal purpose and energy on maximizing human potential at work and in life. And in the last few years we have dived deeper into AI to understand how to further amplify human potential using agentic AI. These findings culminated in the creation of eVolv, with my co-founders Raghav Singh and Dwijen Pandit. We built a comprehensive AI diagnostic platform and partnering with allmates we deploy digital HR agents that automate transactional work, standardize operations, and surface insights.
We didn’t create eVolv in a lab. We built it in growth rooms and crisis rooms, factories and flight operations, M&A war rooms, startups and boardrooms — and in the quiet moments when we watched talented people slowly burn out.

Organizations invest heavily in technology — automate everything in sight, and are now rushing headlong into AI but leave human potential under-designed. People don’t fail because they lack capability. They fail because energy drains, purpose blurs, and managers are left alone to navigate complexity and new technologies.

We built eVolv to stop that - we help you build Human-AI Agent collaborative teams where both win.

My Journey

I’m Varun Bhatia, Co-Founder & CEO of eVolv.
For over 30 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of people, growth, and transformation — across some of the world’s most enduring companies and some of its most disruptive ones.
I’ve worked in senior HR roles with companies like the Tata Group, Levi Strauss, Gillette, P&G and Kraft Foods— organizations that have outlived competitors, cycles, and crises by building strong cultures, values, and operating discipline surviving for more than a century.
I’ve also worked closely with founder-led, high-velocity companies like AirAsia and Reali — where speed, technology, and bold bets fuel rapid growth and constant reinvention.
Seeing both worlds up close taught me something critical:

Longevity comes from culture, agility and energy.
Disruption comes from clarity, courage, and speed.
Sustainable performance requires all of it.

I’ve also lived and worked in Boston, San Francisco, London, Singapore, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok, and across industries including Professional Services, Consumer Products, Food, Apparel, Retail, Aviation, TravelTech, FinTech, and PropTech.
Long before HR technology was fashionable, I was already digitizing HR:
-
Established a Global HR services organization using SAP as a common platform across 30+ countries
-
Redesigned HR processes and systems globally in three different companies and introduced Workday as the HR system of record and work
-
Lead large-scale digital HR transformations during M&A integrations
-
Reimagined recruiting, performance and learning for distributed teams using cutting edge technology applications

One insight kept resurfacing:
"Technology scales instantly. Humans don’t — unless energy, purpose, and context are designed in."

Why We Built eVolv

We built eVolv as a human performance compass, powered by agentic AI.
Not chatbots - Not dashboards - Not AI theatre.
We designed a network of collaborative AI Agents or Mates — each with a clear role, working together like a high-performing team.
Our Mates - they don’t replace humans - they amplify human judgment.
AI as a co-pilot for human potential — not an autopilot.

“The biggest lie about AI is that it's all about replacing humans.
The real danger is using AI to accelerate broken human systems.
We built eVolv to redesign work so AI amplifies human judgment, energy, and purpose"
— Varun Bhatia, Co-Founder & CEO
